More cabin capacity for MOBY TOMMY

February 25. Built in 2002 as ARIADNE PALACE by Samsung, and now
operating as MOBY TOMMY for Moby Lines, the ro-pax is getting a complete
renovation and more cabins.


The contract with DFDS for the operation of Dieppe Newhaven has to be
cancelled

February 25. A French tribunal has cancelled the Delegation of Public
Service for the Dieppe Newhaven ferry route. A public procurement
instead of a DSP is the way to go, says the Court. The contract with
DFDS has to be terminated.


FORZA joins the Trasmediterranea fleet

February 25. Today Trasmediterranea introduced ro-pax FORZA in its
fleet. She sailed from Valencia to Palma de Mallorca.


Mols-Linien to be delisted from Nasdaq OMX Nordic

February 25. Nasdaq OMX Nordic agreed with Mols-Linien A/S to delist the
share. Last day of trading will be April 8.


Salamis doubles profit

February 25. Cyprus-based logistics and cruise ship company Salamis
Tours Holdings Public Ltd. more than doubled its profit in in 2015.


NORDSTJERNEN celebrates 60th anniversary

February 25. The Norwegian coastal cruise ship and former Hurtigruten
vessel NORDSTJERNEN today celebrates her 60th anniversary.


Building start for second Genting newbuilding

February 25. Work has started on the second newbuilding for Dream
Cruises (Genting Honkong) at Meyer Werft Papenburg where the first steel
cutting took place earlier this week.


AIDAPRIMA completes sea trials

February 25. AIDAPRIMA has returned from her last set of sea trials on
February 23.


OCEAN GALA is not welcome in Sweden

February 24. The opposition of local politicians in the port of
Härnösand to the use of the cruise ship OCEAN GALA as an initial refuge
for asylum seekers is the first tangible sign of Sweden’s reported
reversal of its open borders policy.


Motril Tangier-Med is now open for passengers too

February 24. FRS announced that their daily service between Motril and
Tangier-Med, served with the ferry KATTEGAT, will accept passengers as
from today.


STENA NORDICA to be chartered by GNV

February 24. Grandi Navi Veloci's fleet will be soon strengthened with
Stena Line’s ro-pax STENA NORDICA.


Tirrenia’s new service Genoa-Cagliari

February 24. After Grimaldi's launching of the Livorno-Olbia link,
archrival Onorato is evaluating the debut of Tirrenia's ro-ro line
between Genoa and Cagliari.


LE BOREAL to undergo three-month refit in Genoa

February 24. Ill-fated LE BOREAL is now in Genoa where she will have a
long stay for major repair works --entrusted to Fincantieri-- after the
engine room fire when she was sailing off the Falkland Islands.


Viking Line’s 2015 report released

February 24. Viking Line has released their 2015 full year-end report.
Consolidated sales went up to EUR 530.5 million (EUR 527.4 million).
Operating income was EUR 26.4 (EUR 13.7 million).


Cunard back Liverpool cruise terminal plan

February 24. Liverpool City Council plans to provide a permanent cruise
terminal capable of handling turn-rounds of ships carrying up to 3,600
passengers are being backled by Cunard.


TRELLEBORG on the move?

February 25. Latest information from Stena Line and local newspapers in
Uddevalla suggest that the Stena Line ferry TRELLEBORG, laid up at the
Swedish port since August 2015, could be on the move.


Port of Sassnitz enjoys ferry traffic growth to Russia

February 24. The ferry port of Sassnitz has recently noted an unexpected
surge in traffic volumes on the Sassnitz (Mukran) – Baltiysk route.


Cyclone devastates Fiji ferry fleet

February 23. What is claimed to be one of the strongest storms ever
measured in the Southern Hemisphere has laid waste to the South Pacific
nation of Fiji’s fleet of veteran ro-ros and ropaxes.


DFDS debut for COTE DES FLANDRES

February 2. DFDS Seaways complete major investment in its Dover-Calais
service when COTE DES FLANDRES enters service with an afternoon
departure from the French port tomorrow (23 February).


Red Funnel to move in Southampton

February 22. Plans have been approved to move Southampton's Red Funnel
and Hythe Ferry terminals to the Eastern Docks to make way for a GBP450m
Royal Pier Waterfront development including over 700 apartments, 50
shops, a hotel and a casino.
