Cemre to build for Wightlink

April 28. UK domestic opertor Wightlink has placed a contract worth more than EUR30 million with the Cemre Shipyard at Yalova in Turkey to build a new ferry for the Portsmouth-Fishbourne passenger and vehicle service.

The Supreme Court gives approval for new Stockholm port

April 26. The Swedish Supreme Court today gave its approval for the construction of the new cargo port, Stockholm Norvik Hamn (Stockholm Norvik Port) just outside the city of Nynäshamn.


Completion of shipyard acquisition and new ships to be ordered

April 26. Genting Hong Kong officially completed the acquisition of Nordic Yards’ three shipyards in Wismar, Warnemünde and Stralsund, for the consideration of €230.6 million. The deal will give Genting Hong Kong the expertise, manpower, fabrication capacity and covered drydocks to build a global cruise fleet for its three brands - Crystal Cruises, Dream Cruises, and Star Cruises.


Channel veteran capsized and sank

オーストラリア

2016年4月26日、日独仏が建造受注を競ったオーストラリアの次期潜水艦調達計画(建造費500億ドル、潜水艦12隻)で、オーストラリア政府は、共同開発相手をフランスのDCNSに決めたと発表した。日本の三菱重工・川崎重工は、失注。

三菱重工業(株)

2016年4月25日、三菱重工業はAIDA Cruises向けクルーズ船2隻で、新たに508億円の特別損失を計上すると発表した。2隻の客船をめぐる損失額は累計2300億円を超えている。2番船AIDAperlaの年内引き渡しは、難しい情勢。
